Weigel get the win, Rome shuts out Charleston 4-0

Patrick Weigel picked improved to 9-4 on the season in a 4-0 Braves shutout over the Riverdogs Tuesday night.

Weigel went six innings, giving up no runs on two hits, striking out seven, and only walking two batters.  Corbin Clouse, and Josh Graham finished off Charleston with three combined innings of scoreless relief.

For the offense, Carlos Castro had a 2-for-3 night with an RBI.  The other earned run was driven in by Jared James.  Charleston had four errors in the game, accounting for Rome’s other two runs.

Ray-Patrick Didder went 3-for-5 on the night with a run, while Tyler Nesloney, and Kevin Josephina also had multi-hit games.
