Trion Football recently celebrated the unveiling of its impressive new field house, marking a significant milestone for the athletic program. The state-of-the-art facility stands as a testament to the unwavering dedication of Superintendent Dr. Phil Williams and the Board of Education, whose visionary leadership has propelled Trion City Schools to new heights.
“The new football field house would not have been possible without the strong leadership of our Superintendent, Dr. Phil Williams, and our outstanding Board of Education,” Trion City Schools Athletic Director Jason Lanham said. “These remarkable people go to great lengths to make sure that Trion City Schools has the absolute best of everything and to ensure that our school system continues to set the standard for excellence in both athletics and academics.”
Embodying a commitment to excellence in athletics and academics, the new field house represents a long-awaited upgrade. The facility boasts a range of modern amenities, including essential offense and defense film rooms, an expanded locker room area tailored to accommodate the program’s growth, a dedicated training and recovery room, and a fully updated equipment and laundry area.
“We are immensely grateful for the support and leadership of Dr. Phil Williams and the Board of Education, who have played a pivotal role in making this project a reality. Their unwavering commitment to providing our student-athletes with the best resources is truly commendable,” Lanham said.
Furthermore, the new field house exudes a sense of pride and belonging, serving as a contemporary home for the Bulldogs. It is a fitting tribute to the rich legacy of Trion Football, honoring both past and present members of the esteemed program.
“It’s a beautiful modernized new home for our Bulldogs, and we could not be more proud. Trion City Schools will continue to update, improve, and build as needed to ensure that our tradition of excellence withstands the test of time and reaches as many Bulldogs as possible,” Lanham said.
Meanwhile, in a strategic move to enhance the overall game-day experience, the old field house is undergoing renovations and upgrades to accommodate visiting teams during the football season.
