Trion High School and Trion Wrestling have officially announced that Mr. Sean Hage has been hired as the new Head Coach of the Trion Bulldogs Wrestling program.
Coach Hage brings with him a remarkable wrestling background. A Georgia Wrestling Hall of Fame inductee, Hage was a 4-time Georgia State Champion, 3-time AAU National Champion, 6-time Junior National Champion, 2-time Cadet National Champion, and the 1994 Junior World Champion. He was also ranked 4th on the Olympic ladder during his career.
Hage earned All-American and Senior All-American honors while wrestling on a full scholarship at West Virginia University.
As a coach, he has led his teams to numerous area and region championships, and won the GHSA Duals State Championship as Head Coach at Lumpkin County. His coaching excellence has earned him Wrestling Coach of the Year honors multiple times.
