Touki Toussaint threw six strong innings for the Rome Braves on Father’s Day, but the bullpen let the game slip away late for an 8-2 loss to Greensboro. Toussaint allowed only one unearned run on five hits in six innings of work, walking only one, and striking out five batters.
The Braves offense, meanwhile, managed eight hits, but could only move two runners across for runs against the Grasshoppers. Grullon and Nevarez both went two-for-four, while Riley and Ellison picked up the team’s only two runs.
