THS Cheer Team Gears Up For State

Saturday, October 31^st, the THS cheerleaders traveled to Dalton High School to compete in the annual Spooks & Spirits Competition.

Senior Amy Whitt said, “this week our team faced a lot of challenges! We’ve had more injuries this week than we have all year. With all the things we’ve faced over the past seven days I am very proud of what my team accomplished Saturday! Our girls gave it their all!”

At the Spooks & Spirit Competition the girls unfortunately didn’t have any teams to compete against, but they still traveled to DHS to compete for scores and get more practice in before sectionals and state.

This coming Saturday, our THS cheerleaders are traveling to Columbus to compete at the GHSA sectionals competition.  The girls must place within the top 8 teams to advance to the State Finals.

The girls are really excited to compete Saturday and they have been practicing for months to bring home the sectionals and state titles.

Everyone is encouraged to go and support our cheerleaders as they travel to Columbus these next two weekends!
