Soroka has strong start, Rome Braves blast Lexington 11-2

Lost in the excitement of an offensive barrage by the Rome Braves Wednesday night in an 11-2 win over the Lexington Legends was a strong start by Mike Soroka for his team. Soroka picked up his third win of the season, giving up two runs on seven hits, striking out two batters and walking only one. Dalton Geekie, and Josh Graham combined to finish the game, holding the Legends scoreless an inning each.

Soroka picked up his third win of the season, giving up two runs on seven hits, striking out two batters and walking only one.  Dalton Geekie, and Josh Graham combined to finish the game, holding the Legends scoreless an inning each.

As solid as the pitching was Wednesday for Rome, the bats were that much hotter.  Every starting batter except one recorded at least one hit in the game.  Ray-Patrick Didder went three-for-three with two runs and an RBI.  Austin Riley had a big night as well, going two-for-three with three runs, three RBIs, including a long home run.
