Trion High School girls basketball team opened their season with a thrilling victory Thursday at Coosa winning 47-43. Trion started out fast with an early 6-0 lead. Coosa answered and made it a close ball game for the rest of the game. The lead changed several times throughout the game. Trion played tough until the final buzzer sounded.

It was an all around great team victory for the Trion Girls. Coach Galyon said, “it was nice to see the girls win a close game as this one after having so many tough losses last year.”
Junior Taylor Bethune (#5) scored Trion’s first points by hitting a three. Senior Kerrigan Ramsey (#22) scored a total of 22 points and was 11-9 from the free throw line. Senior Rayven Lawrence (#33) scored the final two points with 20 seconds left in the game. It was a great team victory for Trion girls basketball team.
