A late run by the Legends in the bottom of the eighth inning spoiled a quality start from Rome’s Patrick Weigel Saturday night as the Braves lose to Lexington 2-1.
In his best start as a Rome Braves, Weigel went seven innings, giving up only one run on two hits, striking out eleven, while only walking one batter.
Rome’s lone RBI in the game came from the hot bat of Carlos Castro in the top of the sixth inning. Bradley Keller was also 2-for-3 in the game, coming in for Justin Ellison.
