This week’s AllOnGeorgia Player of the Week honors brought to you by Jim Aaron’s Summerville McDonalds go to Chattooga Baseball’s Raeden Sumner.
Raeden Sumner is a senior at Chattooga High School. He is the pitcher and shortstop for the Indians. He has been playing baseball for 14 years.
Sumner said the best thing about his teammates is, “they are very energetic and fun to be around.”
He has a 3.2 GPA.
His favorite class is construction and his favorite teacher is Mr. Price
After graduation he will attend lineman school and he plans to be working for a power company as a lineman in the future.
When asked who his role model was, Sumner said, “My uncle he is very hardworking and has taught me a lot of things about farming and construction.”
The most important thing Sumner has learned from his coaches is, “to respond and not react when something bad happens.”
His favorite baseball memory was when he pitched 6 innings with 10 strikeouts to get the win against Trion at Trion.
