Junior Rachel Nichols is very excited for the season to tip off.  “The new school and gym has given us a whole new perspective on Chattooga athletics! The Lady Indians are a pretty young team with only two seniors, Lexi Neal and Desiree Fain.

Head Coach Mobbs commented that the starting groups haven’t been established yet, the scrimmage tonight and the Thanksgiving tournament in Coosa will help set the starting groups.

Coach Mobbs previewed the upcoming season, “Model and Dade county are always tough games for us, but we are not saying that there is an easy game on our schedule. We’re playing every game as if it were the state tournament.”

Keys to success according to Coach Mobbs: “We have to win every quarter and be successful on defense. We are going to be  a hard pressure team, that can capitalize on the other teams mistakes. We have a great group of girls that have worked very hard in preseason and are looking for it to all pay off.”

The girl’s game will start at 6 PM, there will be a boy’s game following the girls.

The CHS FFA will be at the door collecting canned food items to donate to the local food pantry. please bring a canned food item to the game and support our local pantry as well as our CHS basketball teams.

If you can’t make it to the game and want to donate bring your food to the front office at CHS or any local Chattooga County school for collection.
