Indians 9 & 10 Boys win the first round of State Tournament

The Summerville Recreation Department 9 & 10 Boys 2016 All-Star District Champions began their run to a State Title tonight. The Indians defeated Carrollton tonight with a final score of 40-34 in the first round of the State Tournament.

Coach Brandon Stewart bragged on the teams defense, “we kept our cool, we stayed composed when the game was tight and came out on top.” Offensively, Damien Smith had 17 points and Bowden Heathcock had 11 points.

The Indians will face Madison County tomorrow at 10:30 am.

Team members are Damien Smith, Bowden Heathcock,  Trey Smith, Tequarius Gibson, Xavier Gray, Walt Beach Devin Gilreath, Khi Boateng, Luke James and Cody Stewart.
