Hot Bats Make Sweet Revenge: Lady Indians bring home the Title

Chattooga Middle School Lady Indians traveled to Rockmart yesterday to battle for the region title and for revenge, sweet revenge. The Lady Indians finished the regular season 18-2 with both losses delivered by Rockmart. Rockmart has been this team’s toughest opponent for not only this season, but the group of eighth graders had never won against the Lady Jackets. Yesterday, that changed as the Lady Indians won the title with a convincing 9-3 victory.

Clara Wyatt started on the mound, she pitched four innings and Gretchen Clark came in to pitch the last two innings. The story of the game was the hot bats of the entire team. Leading the swing, Grace Dooley had three hits,  Ramsey Elrod, Emma White, Railee Lynn and Katie Williams each had two hits. Gracelyn Veitch, Clara Wyatt, Madison Hutchens, Gretchen Clark, and Bree Evans all had a hit a piece.
