It’s a big week for girls’ athletics in Chattooga County — and local fans have every reason to show their support. Two powerhouse programs, the Trion Lady Bulldogs and the Chattooga Lady Indians Volleyball team, are both advancing deep into postseason play and hosting crucial playoff matchups right here at home.
On Monday, October 20, the Trion Lady Bulldogs Softball team will take the field for the Sweet 16 of the GHSA State Playoffs. The doubleheader begins at 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM at the Trion High School Softball Field, as the Bulldogs look to continue their dominant season and punch their ticket to the Elite Eight.

Just two days later, the excitement continues in Summerville as the Chattooga Lady Indians Volleyball team hosts the Elite 8 round of the State Playoffs. The match is set for Wednesday, October 22 at 5:30 PM inside Tribe Pride Arena.

Both programs have made history this fall, combining skill, teamwork, and determination to represent Chattooga County at the highest level of competition in Georgia high school sports.
This week offers a rare chance for local fans to experience playoff-level competition without leaving home — and to show these student-athletes how much their dedication and success mean to the community.
So, Chattooga County, grab your red, blue, and plenty of school spirit.
Pack the stands. Make some noise.
Let’s support these young women who are making their schools — and our county — proud.
