Evan Walker Selected to First Team All-State

Trion High School Senior defensive back, Evan Walker has been named an AJC ALL-STATE Single A, First Team selection.

Walker, 6’3″ 190 lbs, led the Bulldogs with 85 tackles. On offense he scored 8 touchdowns and one two point conversion while recording 47 catches for 773 yards, averaging 16.4 yards per catch.

Walker’s outstanding athleticism has been reflected in his record-breaking 2016 season. He set Trion’s “Single Season Record” for both Receptions (47) and Receiving Yards (773). Walker now holds two of Trion’s top ten Single Game Receiving Yards spots with the #3 game (146 yards vs Gordon Lee) and the #10 game (100 yards vs Taylor County). Walker also has the 2nd longest pass in Trion history with an 80 yard completion to Jarrett Pierce (vs Gordon Lee).

Trion coach, Justin Brown said of Walker’s selection, “We are very proud of him and his accomplishments. He’s very deserving of this award.  He’s worked extremely hard in the class room and on the football field.  It’s a great achievement.”
