When Liza Morgan took over as the head coach of the high school cheerleading Spirit and Competition squads, she wanted to bring back the tradition of holding a midnight practice to kick-off the first day of offical practice for the season. “My Papa used to do one for football and I wanted to continue the tradition,” said Morgan.
This year marks the seventh year of the cheerleading midnight practice. “We practice from midnight til around 1:30 or so and parents cook them a huge breakfast after,” said Morgan.
