“Overall this year has been a great year. The girls have worked extremely hard from day 1, and even beyond. The success we have been able to experience goes back several years with a lot of our 8th graders. Several have 3 years into the process and we have seen growth over the past couple years because of their dedication. This team will do whatever they have to do to win ball games. I think this year has been even better because so many of them are getting to see what happens when talent meets hard work. They put in hours every week, and also tons of work over the summer. I can’t explain in words how proud I am of them. Several games this year we have won fairly easily, but we have also learned how to come from behind to win. Last night down 5-2 in the bottom of the 6, it would’ve been so easy to give in and be happy with our season to that point. But we fought and stayed in it and then got four 2-out hits to win it to send us to the championship today,” said Head Coach Josh Mitchell.

The Chattooga Middle School Softball team members are Gracelyn Veitch, Mary Anna Bentley, Emma White, Railee Lynn, Gretchen Clark, Grace Dooley, Ramsey Elrod, Bree Evans, Madison Hutchens, Katie Williams, Clara Wyatt, Kayleigh Byars, Emma Marshall, Brooklyn Long, Kenzleigh Long, Justine Gladney, Mary Alex Sausville and Tia Dunaway. The team is coached by Josh Mitchell.
