Chattooga Basketball Steps Into Spotlight at Georgia Highlands Media Day

Villeda Concrete

Georgia Highlands hosted your Chattooga County basketball team this Tuesday in a Media Day. Head Coaches Justin Gentry (boys) and Garrett Brown (girls) selected a few of our basketball players to represent our school in a question-and-answer session about the season.

Players included: DJ Etchinson, Addie Veatch, Koi Dodd, Gracelyn Rutledge, Aidan Fletcher, and Daysa Martin. The players were asked questions such as which teams they are excited to play this year, and how faith plays a role in their performance and lives. Their local and regional FCA representatives hosted them.

When asked about his season outlook, Coach Gentry said, “I am looking forward to having a fun season. This team is bonding very well together and, as we battle through adversity, will continue to grow each day. I think we have the potential to make the season whatever we want it to be as long as we hold each other accountable and to the highest standards possible.”
