Atlanta Braves Announce 2025 Spring Training Schedule and Add Amos Willingham

The Atlanta Braves have released their 2025 Spring Training schedule and announced the addition of right-handed pitcher Amos Willingham to the roster. The schedule includes 32 games, starting February 22 with an away game against the Minnesota Twins. The Braves will host 15 home games at CoolToday Park in North Port, Florida, with 17 games played on the road.

 

In roster news, the Braves have signed Amos Willingham, a Chattooga County Georgia native, to strengthen their bullpen. His recent performance in Triple-A, highlighted by a solid ERA and consistent command, has made him a valuable addition to the pitching staff.

The Atlanta Braves claimed Willingham off waivers from the Washington Nationals. Willingham pitched at Georgia Tech, where he made 18 appearances in 2019 with a 5.19 ERA. Drafted by the Nationals in the 17th round of the 2019 MLB Draft, the 26-year-old has since gained experience at the Major League and Triple-A levels.

In 19 MLB appearances, Willingham posted a 7.11 ERA over 25 1/3 innings, but his Triple-A numbers were more impressive, with a 3.69 ERA and 71 strikeouts in 68 1/3 innings. His addition adds depth to the Braves’ pitching staff ahead of the 2025 season.
