Addie Veatch Has Lots Of Hits But Chattooga Varsity Indians Fall To Cass Colonels

Addie Veatch collected three hits in five at bats, but Chattooga Varsity Indians lost to Cass Varsity Colonels 8-6 on Monday. Veatch tripled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the seventh inning. Chattooga Varsity Indians got on the board in the first inning after Veatch scored after tagging up. Chattooga Varsity Indians added one run in the second. Alexis Womack singled down the right field line, making the score 2-0. Cass Varsity Colonels tied the game up in the top of the third thanks to two singles.

In the top of the eighth, Cass Varsity Colonels broke up the tie scoring one run. Then a steal of home to extend the lead to 8-6. Scruggs and Womack each drove in two runs for Chattooga Varsity Indians. Chattooga Varsity Indians had patience at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Annabelle Brown and Womack led the team with two bases on balls each. Josie Gazaway stole two bases. Chattooga Varsity Indians stole four bases in the game.
