Trion Welcomes Stetson the Bulldog as the New Living Mascot!

Two weeks ago, at the white-out pep rally, Trion was introduced to the new living mascot, Stetson the Bulldog! Stetson is the Football team’s biggest fan! He wears a matching football jersey and will attend every game.
Stetson’s owner is Trion resident Clay Brown. Stetson is an Olde English Bulldogge breed, and according to Brown, he is very gentle-natured and loves attention from all people, old and young. After Brown’s daughter started Pre-K at Trion Elementary School, the thought came along that Stetson should join the Bulldog family as the mascot.

For Brown, this was an opportunity to serve the community of Trion and the school system. After a few weeks of thinking about it, Mrs. Brown contacted athletic director Jason Lanham, and Stetson was introduced to Trion City Schools as the official mascot.

“I myself am excited that he is the mascot because I remember talking to Mr. Cook as a child about Lord Spike and I’m looking forward to the tradition being carried on through Stetson. I hope Stetson can bring joy to the Bulldog Nation and honor to the mantle of the mascot for Trion,”
Brown exclaimed.

While Brown is utterly honored by Stetson being the Mascot, Coach Lanham is also proud to have Stetson representing him, stating, “We are super excited about welcoming Stetson into our Trion Family and bringing back a time-honored tradition of a live Bulldog Mascot!”
