Recently Trion student, Olivia Blankenship, served as part of the youth ensemble, in Rome Little Theater’s rendition of Mary Poppins!
For Blankenship, the audition process was not a short one. The first round of auditions began in September, and required each participant to sing, “Let’s go Fly a Kite”, a featured song in Mary Poppins. By the time the rolls were casted, around 40 children had auditioned; however, only 14 made it.
This was an amazing experience for Olivia! It taught her a lot about show business, and hard work! As she stated, “It was fun, I made a lot of friends, and in the words of Mary Poppins, ‘Anything can happen if you let it!’”
Overall, many said that the Rome Little Theater’s Mary Poppins was an amazing production in all areas! Way to go Olivia, and congratulations on your, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious preference.
