Laneston Hendricks: Trion High School’s Newest Bulldog of Student Support Services

Coach Laneston Hendricks has joined the faculty at Trion High School as an SSS Teacher and a football/baseball coach!

Trion High School welcomes one of its newest faculty members, Laneston Hendricks, to the Hill.

Coach Hendricks earned a bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Science and Social Studies from Valdosta State University.

Before beginning at Trion High School, he taught at Clinch County Middle School from 2024-2026. There, he also served as a Student Support teacher, supporting students in Math and ELA.

Coach Hendricks will be serving as a Student Support Teacher during the 2026-2027 school year. Student Support (SSS) teachers give extra help to struggling students by helping them overcome behavioral, academic, and emotional hurdles.  He will also serve as the Offensive Line Coach for the THS football team and the Assistant Baseball Coach this year.

When asked which topics are his favorite to teach, Coach Hendricks replied, “Even though I technically do not teach a class, if I had to choose, I would choose GA Studies or American History.”

Something Coach Hendricks would like to say to his current and future students is, “Cherish every second of high school! It is only a small portion of your life, but it is the greatest time in your life.”

In his spare time, Coach Hendricks is not a big reader but enjoys watching television series, such as his favorite, Stranger Things.

With his students, Coach Hendricks would love to leave his students with his favorite quote: “Best day ever until tomorrow.”

Good luck on the Hill, Coach Hendricks!
