Chattooga County Schools to Release at 1pm Today

Chattooga County Schools Superintendent Jared Hosmer has released the following statement in regards to the severe weather anticpated later today:

“After consulting with the National Weather Service and our local EMA Director, the decision has been made to release school today (Thursday 3/25/2021) at 1:00 pm due to the potential of severe weather this afternoon.  Please understand this decision is not made lightly, as our priority is to ensure the safety and security off all our stakeholders.

We will continue to monitor the weather conditions this afternoon and evening and a decision concerning school for tomorrow (Friday) will be forthcoming later this evening.”
