Chattooga High School’s reigning state champion construction team represented Georgia last week at the SkillsUSA National Competition in Atlanta. Competing against 37 top teams from across the country, the team of Lane Bridges, Kasen Elsberry, Mason Majors, and Quenton Rodriquez showcased their talents in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and masonry.
Under the leadership of instructor Benji Price, the students worked together during the intense two-day TeamWorks competition to complete a real-world construction project.
Though they didn’t bring home the national title, the team gained valuable experience and proudly represented both Chattooga and the state of Georgia on a national stage.
