Janice Sabo Accepting Submissions for 2025 Chattooga County Video Tribute

It’s that time of year again as Chattooga County prepares to honor and remember those we’ve lost.

Local resident Janice Sabo is once again creating a memorial video tribute for Chattooga County loved ones who passed away between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025. Families are invited to submit a photo and the name of their loved one to be included in this annual remembrance.

Submission Guidelines

• This tribute honors individuals connected to Chattooga County who pass away between January 1 and December 31, 2025.

• The person must have lived in Chattooga County at some point during their life.

• Please submit the photo by January 10, 2026.

About the Tribute

This heartfelt tradition began in 2014 when Janice created a memorial video in honor of her mother, who passed away at the age of 56.

“When my mom passed away, she was cremated and her ashes were spread with her parents. I realized I didn’t have a true place to go, nothing with her name to honor her memory. That’s why I started doing the video — our loved ones should be remembered, always,” Sabo shared.

Each year since, she has continued this labor of love, creating a touching tribute that allows families to remember and celebrate the lives of those who shaped our community.
