I Matter Project Hosts Community Cookout Sunday with Free T-Shirts Sponsored by Local Business

Summerville Event Seeks Community Feedback and Ideas

The I Matter Project is inviting Summerville residents to a Community Cookout on Sunday, November 30th at 2 PM at the Summerville Recreation Department, and thanks to local businessman Kevin Godfrey, the first 50 attendees will walk away with a free T-shirt.

Godfrey, owner of Godfrey’s Tree Service, is sponsoring the giveaway as part of his commitment to supporting community initiatives in Summerville.

“Thank you, Kevin, for your generous support,” organizers said in announcing the event.

The cookout is designed as a meet and greet where the I Matter Project team can connect with community members, share their vision for the program, and gather valuable feedback and ideas for its future direction.

“We’re wanting to have a meet and greet with community members to gather feedback and ideas,” organizers explained. “We would love any and all feedback for the future.”

The event will feature free food, kickball, and various games for attendees of all ages. But beyond the fun and fellowship, the I Matter Project is emphasizing the importance of community input as they build their program.

“Join us for food and games as we share our vision of this program,” the invitation reads.

The Community Cookout offers Summerville residents a chance to not only enjoy an afternoon of free food and entertainment but also to have a voice in shaping a program designed to serve their community.

The event takes place Sunday, November 30th at 2 PM at the Summerville Recreation Department. Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend, share their thoughts, and grab one of those free T-shirts while they last.
