Trion Band gears up for the season

Over the summer, the Pride of Trion Marching Band has worked tirelessly on this year’s halftime show and has been preparing for the upcoming marching season.

The 2025 halftime show is entitled “The American West” and includes music from many artists, most notably Aaron Copland. The Bulldog Band will debut its new performance on August 15 at Gordon Lee High School during the Dogs’ first football game of the year.

The band is led by Senior Drum Major, Lexi Pearson, as well as other seniors: Joce Mitchell, Addison Lively, Salmi Perez, Eulalia Ramirez, Leigha Rogers, Miguel Diaz, Channer Love, Sherlyn Perez, Danny Castro, Landon Taylor, Sarah McCauley, Grey Abee, and Maleaha Pickard.

“The American West”, also includes several musical soloists:  Analeigh Davis, Alden Little, Mitchell, and Diaz are the headliners.

Pearson stated, “ I am beyond excited for this season and to have the opportunity to end my time in  band with these awesome people!”

The community of Trion commends these students and their dedication to entertaining Sam R McCain Stadium under the Friday night lights!

Abbie Stephens is a hard-working junior at Trion High School. She is the head editor and writer of the Bulldog Barker, the president of TSA, and a member of the national beta club. She is also on the Trion varsity basketball team. Post graduation, she plans on going to college to study either education or journalism.
