Skeletal remains search suspended

The search for reported skeletal remains near the river in Trion has been suspended. After a late evening re-interview with the complainant, it was found that the complainant embellished the report of his findings to include details that were not true. Animal bones were found in an area described by the complainant. The complainant stated that he embellished the details to get a quicker response from law enforcement. Law enforcement has been in contact with the complainants parents and care giver about the report. If further information becomes available it will be released. -Sheriff Mark A. Schrader
