
A minor earthquake occurred in northwest Georgia yesterday morning. According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), a magnitude 2.1 earthquake was recorded near Trion, Georgia, just before 8 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Saturday, March 29, 2025. The USGS reported that a few individuals felt the tremor.
This event follows a similar occurrence earlier this year. On February 25, a 2.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded near Menlo, approximately 15 miles from Trion.
