The body of 46 year old Martin “Randy” Meadows was found in a wooded area off of West Spring Creek at around 11:30 Wednesday morning. A neighbor spotted the body less than 50 feet from the roadway and called local authorities. Geographically speaking this area is directly across from the sewage plant in Trion.
Meadows had been reported missing over the weekend; he reportedly disappeared Saturday around 3:00 pm. He was last seen walking into the Trion Industrial Park, where he disappeared into thick hedges and vegetation.
All On Georgia spoke with Trion Police Chief Jason Kellett who secured the scene and then turned the case over to the GBI.
Kellett confirmed that foul play is not suspected in the case.
The body has been sent to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy and a full toxicology report.
