McSears Missing Persons Case Marks One Year Anniversary

March 6, 2026, will mark one year since Timothy McSears vanished from his residence on McSears Drive in Lafayette, GA. McSears disappearance continues to weigh heavily on his family, friends, and all Law Enforcement who have worked on this case.

Timothy McSears was reported missing on March 8, 2025, after he was last seen at his residence on March 6, 2025. What began as a routine missing person’s report, quickly evolved into a large-scale and ongoing investigation. Over the last year, the Walker County Sheriff’s Office has pursued hundreds of leads, conducted numerous interviews, and organized extensive land searches across Walker County and surrounding areas.

Despite those efforts, there has been no confirmed trace of Timothy McSears. Search teams have combed through wooded areas, fields and remote properties. Volunteers joined law enforcement in coordinated ground searches, hoping to uncover even the smallest clue that might lead to answers. Investigators have followed up on tips from the public, reviewed surveillance footage and worked diligently to piece together Timothy McSears’ final known movements. Yet the case remains unsolved.

For Timothy McSears’ family, the passing of a year brings renewed heartache.
