Live Healthy Chattooga County Coalition Announces First Annual Health Fair

The Live Healthy Chattooga County Coalition has announced its First Annual Health Fair, set to take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 8 AM to 12 PM at the Chattooga County Agricultural Center.

This community event promises to be a fantastic opportunity for residents to take charge of their health and engage with over 30 local vendors offering essential health services and information.

The Health Fair will feature FREE health screenings, including:

Cholesterol & Glucose Checks

Blood Pressure & BMI Checks

HIV Testing

Prostate Cancer and Colorectal Cancer Screenings

Hands-On CPR Training

Dental Screenings (Visual inspection of teeth and gums)

Additionally, the Atrium Health Mobile Mammography Unit will be on-site to provide breast cancer screenings. Appointments are required for mammograms, so be sure to call 706-509-6840, Option 1 to schedule yours.

“This health fair is a wonderful opportunity for everyone in our community to get valuable health screenings, access educational resources, and connect with local health professionals,” said Allison Agnew, Health Fair Coordinator for the Live Healthy Chattooga County Coalition.

“Early detection is one of the most effective ways to prevent and treat cancer. Offering free prostate, colorectal, and mammography screenings at our health fair allows us to provide vital resources to our community members and encourage them to take proactive steps toward their health. We want to empower everyone in Chattooga County to prioritize their well-being and make sure cancer prevention is part of their health routine.”
