Cole Cavin, a University of North Alabama junior pursuing a degree in Political Science, has been selected to intern with U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville in Washington, D.C., for the spring semester, January through April 2025.
Cavin, a native of Summerville, Georgia, aims to use this opportunity to deepen his understanding of the federal legislative process and contribute to impactful policymaking.
“I am honored to represent UNA and gain firsthand experience in serving our nation,” Cavin said. “This internship will allow me to work closely with Senator Tuberville’s team, engage with key legislative initiatives, and better understand the needs of the communities I hope to serve in the future. It’s a unique opportunity to grow professionally while making a difference.”
As an intern, Cavin will assist with tasks such as legislative research, media relations, and constituent outreach. The experience will provide him with invaluable insights into the workings of the U.S. Senate and further his goal of serving in public office.
