Chili’s Employee Charged With Stealing Summerville Woman’s Pocketbook in Rome

A Cartersville, Georgia man, was recently charged with the theft of several items taken from a Summerville woman last month, on May 17th, at Chili’s Restaurant on Turner McCall Boulevard in Rome.

An employee of Chili’s in Rome, Geoffrey Scott Bennett, 41 of Cartersville, was arrested this week after reports said he stole a Louis Vuitton purse and its belongings from a Summerville, GA, customer at the restaurant.

Reports said that Bennett, along with the purse ($1,500) stole Airpods ($100), Sephora make-up ($95), credit cards and $106 in cash.

The purse was later recovered while executing a search warrant of his home.
