Chattooga County: Winter Storm Warning

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Chattooga County from midnight tonight until 11:59 p.m. Sunday night.

* WHAT…Heavy wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches in the higher elevations. The majority of the snowfall is anticipated during the daytime Sunday.

* WHERE…Walker, Dade, and Chattooga Counties.

* WHEN…From midnight tonight to 11:59 p.m. EST Sunday night.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Travel during this time period is strongly discouraged. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Slow down and drive with caution.
