Cole Cavin, a 2022 graduate of Trion High School, has been selected for a competitive Fox News internship on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

Cavin is currently a senior at the University of North Alabama, where he is set to graduate in May with a degree in political science. The Fox News internship represents the latest achievement in his growing political career.

This is not Cavin’s first experience working on Capitol Hill. He has previously interned in Washington with Senator Tommy Tuberville and Representative Dale Strong, gaining valuable experience in how Congress operates and how elected officials serve their constituents.

“I’m incredibly excited for this opportunity with Fox News,” Cavin said. “Working on Capitol Hill has been an amazing experience, and this internship will allow me to see another side of how politics and media intersect in our nation’s capital. I’m grateful for the experiences I’ve had so far and look forward to what I’ll learn in this new role.”

The Fox News Capitol Hill internship program provides hands-on experience in political journalism, covering Congress, policy debates, committee hearings, and the day-to-day workings of the federal government. Interns work alongside experienced journalists and producers in one of the most competitive media markets in the country.

Cavin’s selection for this competitive internship reflects his dedication to understanding both the political process and how it is communicated to the American public.
