Why Foot Health Matters

Proper foot care is essential, especially as we age. Without regular maintenance, individuals may face preventable complications such as infections, reduced mobility, and increased risk of falls. Routine services like nail trimming and callus care can significantly support long-term health and safety.

“As we age, taking care of our feet and nails can get difficult—whether it’s arthritis or just trouble physically reaching our feet,” said Susie Kellett, RN, CFCS, owner of Adapt Care Services. “Nail care is one of the most important things we can do for our health. Some people are worried about how their feet look—there’s no need for that. We’ve seen it all and love what we do.”

With over 27 years of nursing experience—including hospice, wound care, home health, and correctional health—Susie Kellett created Adapt Care Services to fill a gap in preventative foot care, especially for homebound individuals.

Susie and her husband, Jason, reside in Northwest Georgia.

Services Offered

Adapt Care’s comprehensive services include:

• Diabetic/Vascular Foot & Nail Care: Nail trimming, thinning, smoothing, cleansing, and lotion application, with monitoring for medical concerns.
• Callus & Corn Paring: Gentle reduction of thickened skin to relieve pressure and discomfort.
• Fingernail Care: Trimming and shaping to maintain hygiene and prevent related health issues.

All care is provided by licensed professional nurses certified in foot and nail care. They are trained to work with individuals dealing with diabetes, vascular conditions, neuropathy, and general preventative needs.

Convenient and Compassionate In-Home Care

Adapt Care Services brings all necessary tools and supplies directly to the client. Visits typically last between 45 minutes to one hour, with scheduling based on individual assessments and preferences. Services are available in private homes, assisted living facilities, memory care units, and independent living communities.
