2024 Summer Feeding Program Information

Chattooga County School Nutrition is pleased to announce the Summer Feeding Program will operate once again this year. This program allows meals to all children under the age of 18, free of charge. The Summer Feeding Program will run from June 3rd until July 16th. They will not have any meal service during the week of July 1 – 5, in observance of the July 4th Holiday.

There will be various sites throughout the county where meals can be obtained. Some sites will offer multiple-day meal pick-up or bus delivery, which will consist of 7 days of breakfast and 7 days of lunch given at one time. Other sites will offer one freshly cooked meal per day. Children do not have to be present to receive meals at the multiple day meal pick-up sites and bus delivery locations, however USDA does require that the school district obtain names of the children being served. This information is kept confidential and is not shared with any outside agencies. For locations who provide only one freshly cooked meal per day, children must be present and must remain on site to eat.

7-Days of Breakfast and Lunch may be picked up at the following sites:

Subligna Baptist Church—35 Subligna Baptist Church Rd., Summerville, GA 30747
• Tuesdays (June 4, 11, 18, 25, July 9 & 16) from 11 AM until 1 PM. Children do not have to be present. Child name must be provided to nutrition staff. Names will remain confidential and will not be shared with any outside agencies.

North Summerville Baptist Church—119 Maplewood Dr., Summerville, GA 30747
• Tuesdays (June 4, 11, 18, 25, July 9 & 16) from 11 AM until 1 PM. Children do not have to be present. Child name must be provided to nutrition staff. Names will remain confidential and will not be shared with any outside agencies.

Dowdy Park—170 University St., Summerville, GA 30747
• Tuesdays (June 4, 11, 18, 25, July 9 & 16) from 11 AM until 1 PM. Children do not have to be present. Child name must be provided to nutrition staff. Names will remain confidential and will not be shared with any outside agencies.

7 days of Breakfast and Lunch will be delivered by school bus to the following locations:

Fields Walk Mobile Home Park—11:00-11:20 AM Meal Delivery
• Tuesdays (June 4, 11, 18, 25, July 9 & 16) from 11 AM until 1 PM. Children do not have to be present. Child name must be provided to nutrition staff. Names will remain confidential and will not be shared with any outside agencies.

East Trion Church of God—365 First St., Trion, GA 30753—11:30-11:45 AM Meal Delivery
• Tuesdays (June 4, 11, 18, 25, July 9 & 16) from 11 AM until 1 PM. Children do not have to be present. Child name must be provided to nutrition staff. Names will remain confidential and will not be shared with any outside agencies.
Trion Church of Christ—171 First St., Trion, GA 30753—11:50-12:15 PM Meal Delivery
• Tuesdays (June 4, 11, 18, 25, July 9 & 16) from 11 AM until 1 PM. Children do not have to be present. Child name must be provided to nutrition staff. Names will remain confidential and will not be shared with any outside agencies.

One meal per day may be found at the following locations:

Fairway Recreation Center—81 Senior Dr., Summerville, GA 30747

• Monday – Friday: June 3 – July 19 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Children must be present and remain on-site while eating.

Chattooga High School—989 Hwy 114, Summerville, GA 30747

• Tuesday – Friday: June 4 – July 19 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Children must be present and remain on-site while eating.

Lyerly Elementary School—150 Oak Hill Rd., Lyerly, GA 30730
• Tuesday – Friday: June 4 – June 7 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Children must be present and remain on-site while eating.

Summerville Middle School—200 Middle School Rd., Summerville, GA 30747
• Tuesday – Friday: June 4 – June 7 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Children must be present and remain on-site while eating.

Leroy Massey Elementary School—403 Dot Johnson Dr., Summerville, GA 30747
• Tuesday – Friday: June 4 – June 7 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Children must be present and remain on-site while eating.
