Trion Election Results

The Trion local election has brought in some familiar faces to new positions as Jeff Maddux unseats incumbent Thomas Venn, 191-24, for Council Seat 5, with Secret Ingle picking up 48 votes and Chris Witt receiving 80.

Incumbent Casey Brown in Seat 1 also fell as well-known Jeff “Fro” Wilson pulled in a whopping 235 voters to Brown’s 102.

Incumbent Mayor Larry Stansell avoided the sweep by defeating challenger Tonya Abernathy 211 to 129.

66 voters took advantage of the Trion early voting and 126 voters in Summerville likewise utilized the early voting option.
