Summerville City Council to See Six Contenders in Upcoming Election

The City of Summerville will hold a Municipal Special Election on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, to fill the unexpired term of the City of Summerville Council Seat #1.

The City of Summerville will hold a Municipal Special Election on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, to fill the unexpired term of the City of Summerville Council Seat #1.

Six individuals have qualified for the vacant council seat:

• SIMONE ADAMS
• CARRIE “PAM” ALBERT
• JAMES “CRAIG” HOLT
• MICHAEL A. MACK
• GARY MORGAN
• BOBBY PATTERSON

Advance and Absentee voting for the May 21, 2024, Municipal Special Election will begin on Monday, April 29, 2024, and continue until Friday, May 17, 2024, at Summerville City Hall, located at 120 Georgia Ave, Summerville, GA 30747, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Advance voting will also be available on Saturday, May 4, 2024, and Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Summerville City Hall between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Applications for Absentee Ballots must be received by Friday, May 10, 2024.

The polls will open on election day, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

A runoff, if necessary, will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Summerville City Hall.
