The St Marys Police Department sent out a request on their Facebook page yesterday, April 17th, asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted for burglarizing the town’s Gamestop.
According to an online source, the man was caught on videotape wearing a see-through plastic bag use to package cases of water. The crime happened on April 12th, and police describe the video as showing a ‘craftly disguised gent’ running around inside the city’s GameStop store.
Here is the video, shared by the St Marys Police Department:
The suspect is identified as Kerry Hammond Jr., a 22-year-old man who is approximately 6 feet 1 inch and weighs in at approximately 275 pounds. Hammond was last seen in a white, 2006 Ford Taurus, possibly with dealer tags.
In addition to the crime at GameStop, he is also wanted for two active felony warrants resulting from another case of burglary and criminal damage to property.
Do you know Mr. Hammond, or have information on his whereabouts? The St Marys police department shared their request for the public’s help on their Facebook page: ‘You can help us catch him, once you stop laughing. Please give our detectives a call at our office at 912.882.4488, the non-emergency number to 9-1-1 at 912.729.1442 or the Crime Stopper Tip Line to remain anonymous at 912.576.0565. We’ll be sippin’ water while we wait!’
