Winter Archery & Firearm Camps at Georgia Southern University Shooting Sports Education Center

The Georgia Southern University Shooting Sports Education Center is hosting a three-day Winter Firearms Camp and Winter Archery Camp December 20-22. The deadline to register is Friday, December 17. 

The Firearms Camp is for ages 10 and older and is a morning session 7:45 am – 12:45 pm.  The registration fee is $105. “Firearms Winter Day Camp will provide your children with safe, qualified instruction on rifles, pistols and ArmaLite Rifle platforms. Our instructors will teach students how to shoot an array of firearms safely and accurately through classroom instruction and on range training. All equipment and ammo will be provided. Participants will have daily safety instructional time followed by an opportunity for live fire on the range. They will also learn how to properly clean and maintain a firearm”.

The Archery Camp is for ages 7 and older and offers a morning(7:45 am – 12:45 pm) and evening session(12:15 pm – 5:15 pm). The registration fee is $75. “Archery Winter Day Camp is going to be 3 days of Fun filled activities. Participants will learn the essentials of proper handling, safety procedures, range rules, etiquette and stance”.

Participants can choose half-day with either a firearms or archery session in the morning or an archery session in the afternoon, or full-day with either a firearms or archery session in the morning and follow it up with an archery session in the afternoon. A snack is provided for each session, but full-day participants should bring a sack lunch.
