Portal Hall of Fame: Nominate alumni or faculty from PMHS or Willow Hill by Oct. 31

Portal is seeking nominations for possible inductees into the Portal Hall of Fame now through October 31. Selected alumni will be inducted into the Hall of Fame during a ceremony scheduled for January 5.

The Hall of Fame recognizes alumni of Portal Middle High School and the Willow Hill school who have distinguished themselves in academics,athletics, and/or extra-curricular or civic activities, and who continue to be positive role models today for youth.

Nomination forms for both potential Hall of Fame and Honorary Hall of Fame members can be obtained at Portal Middle High School or its website. For more information, contact Jennifer Yates by email.

Nominees should be a graduate of either Willow Hill or Portal Middle High, and have graduated in 2008 or earlier (at least 15 years ago). The Hall of Fame also seeks nominations for honorary members. These can be teachers, coaches, or others who served at either of the two schools and directly influenced children and impacted their educational and/or athletic development. These individuals will be inducted as honorary members of the Hall of Fame.

Areas to consider for nominees: (1) good citizenship in high school; (2) high school academic and/or athletic awards; school or state records and recognitions; (3) accomplishments after high school and/or college; (4) contributions to the community; and (5) leadership and character.
