Ogeechee Tech Names Bombery Dean for Academic Affairs Overseeing Health Sciences and Online Learning)

Ogeechee Technical College announced this week Kathleen Bombery has been named the new Dean for Academic Affairs overseeing Health Sciences and Online Learning.

Bombery who began working at OTC on January 2, was previously serving as Dean for Health Sciences at Savannah Technical College where she provided leadership, supervision, and overall day-to-day management of the Health Sciences Division. Prior to working at Savannah Tech, she served as the Associate Dean of Health Sciences at Chattahoochee Technical College. She holds a Master of Arts in Health Education from Montclair State University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Stockton University.

“We are really excited to have Kathleen join our faculty and staff here at OTC,” said Dr. Ryan Foley, Executive Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. “Kathleen comes to us with a wealth of education and experience that will allow her to lead the charge of developing health sciences professionals for our workforce.”

In addition to her extensive background in education, Bombery has also earned the Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) designation from the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing. She is also an alumni of both the Cobb Education Consortium (CEC Leadership Academy), and the CHAIR Academy; Academy for Leadership Training and Development.
