Eleven students in the Dental Assisting program at Ogeechee Technical College received their pins in an annual ceremony held at 6:00 pm in the Joseph E. Kennedy Auditorium on Thursday, July 20.
Yvonne Jenkins, Dental Assisting program director, welcomed the crowd of friends and family who were in attendance to celebrate their loved ones.
“I am always very proud of our graduates,” said Jenkins. “Most people have no idea how much goes into their education. They have to learn dental anatomy, human anatomy, oral pathology, pharmacology, nutrition, infection control, and many procedures and instruments. They have worked very hard to get to this point, and they all have the potential to be wonderful healthcare providers!”
The eleven students who received their pins were: Gabi Aldrich, Allyssa Chalker, Symone Dandridge, Destiny Dixon, Olivia Earl, Kristin Goddard, Dayjoin Johnson, Olivia Mew, Claudasia Mosley, Jessica Pascual-Ubaldo, and Caitlyn Skarhus.
