UPDATE: SUSPECT ARRESTED – Warrants Issued for Suspect in Bobby Donaldson Avenue Shooting

The suspect in the 11/17/24 shooting on Bobby Donaldson Avenue was taken into custody on 11/20/24. Deputies with the Butts County Sheriff’s Office in Jackson, Ga were conducting a routine traffic stop when they identified Jermon Dickerson as a passenger in the car. Dickerson was arrested on his outstanding aggravated assault warrant and has been extradited back to Bulloch County.

Statesboro Police Department detectives have issued warrants for the suspect, Jermon Ja’reese Dickerson, in the investigation of the Bobby Donaldson Avenue shooting on November 17. 

UPDATE from SPD 11/19/2024:

Detectives investigating the 11/17/24 shooting on Bobby Donaldson Avenue have issued arrest warrants for Jermon Ja’reese Dickerson (18, Statesboro). His charges are Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime.

Anyone with information on Dickerson’s location should contact SPD detectives or their local law enforcement agency. The victim in this case continues to recover under medical care.

From SPD: Original 11/18/2024

On 11/17/24 at 8:00 p.m. SPD officers responded to the first block of Bobby Donaldson Avenue for a gunshot detection geolocated in that area by Flock’s Raven sensors. At the same time, a call was placed by a third party reporting a male shot at that location. Officers arrived and discovered the adult male victim with a gunshot wound to the torso. The victim was transported by EMS to East Georgia Regional Medical Center and subsequently to Memorial in Savannah. He is expected to recover.
