

Eric Dyquen Nicolas, 16 years old of Statesboro, as the primary suspect in this incident.
The Statesboro Police Department are Investigating a Murder after responding to a call at Park Place Apartments on Lanier Drive, on Friday Night at around 10:48PM, on reports from multiple residences that shots had been fired. Upon arriving on the scene officers, and detectives secured and began investigating the Scene.
Officers were also called to East Georgia Medical Center after reports of a victim being wounded by gun fire. 19 year old Tamashe` Diquan Jones of Statesboro was taken to the Emergency Room by two neighbors who found him on the ground at Park Place. Efforts to revive Mr. Jones were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead.
Suspects
Statesboro Police have identified 16 year old Eric Dyquen Nicolas of Statesboro, as the prime suspect in the murder. Warrants have been obtained for the arrest of Nicolas, and the Statesboro Police have urged him to turn himself in to the nearest law enforcement agency immediately.
Police also made several arrests on drug related charges that were connected to the Incident.

- Rodriquez Leondrei Parks 21/Male Statesboro – 1 count Possession of Marijuana (less than 1 oz)
- Cedric Jackson 19/Male Statesboro – 1 count Possession of Marijuana (less than 1 oz)
