Statesboro Police Investigating Homicide at Hudson Apartments

Homicide Investigation

On 10/2/20 at 9:37 P.M. SPD Patrol officers responded to 831 South Main Street (The Hudson Apartments) for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival officers discovered a 21 year old female in the parking lot with a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to East Georgia Regional Medical Center where she died of her injuries. She was identified as 21 year old A’Nyah Davis, formerly of McDonough, Ga. Davis’s next of kin has been notified of her death. She was not currently enrolled at Georgia Southern University.

Detectives worked throughout the night processing the scene and interviewing witnesses. The investigation is ongoing at this time, and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Harrelson at 912-764-9911 or to submit an anonymous tip to tips@statesboroga.gov.
