SPD Arrests Second Suspect in Armed Robbery at Eagle Gate Apartments

The Statesboro Police Department has arrested a second offender in reference to an armed robbery that occurred on July 1 at Eagle Gate Apartments. The first offender, 17 year old Earick Henry, Jr., was taken into custody earlier this month.

Detective Kevin Wadley with the the Criminal Investigations Bureau has been investigating the case. Wadley identified 19 year old Johnathan Paulk as an additional offender in the armed robbery and secured warrants for his arrest.

On July 14, Detective Wadley, Corporal Smallegan, and Advanced Patrol Officer Gawthrop arrested Paulk at a residence on Bay Street without incident. Paulk was charged with 1st degree burglary (residential), armed robbery, and aggravated assault. He remains at the Bulloch County Jail awaiting further court action.

This case is still under investigation and no further information is being released at this time.
