The Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office arrested several individuals Thursday in a narcotics trafficking investigation. BCSO Crime
Suppression Team began the investigation after numerous complaints from citizens.

In response to numerous complaints from citizens about drug activity in the area of Van Buren Street and Elm Street, both within the city limits of Statesboro, the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Team began an investigation into individuals alleged to be involved. The investigation identified Rotema Watson and Purlay Johnson, both of Statesboro, GA, to be the main suspects in this case.
The investigation led to a search warrant being obtained for a residence on Van Buren Street. On 12/18/2025, the search warrant was executed by CST Investigators, deputies of the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team, and deputies of the BCSO K9 Unit. The search of this residence yielded a trafficking amount of methamphetamine, distribution amounts of cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, and a handgun. Rotema Watson, Frances Howard, and Roshaunda Johnson were taken into custody at this location and transported to the Bulloch County Jail.
Investigators and Deputies then went to an apartment nearby on Elm Street. An investigation at this location yielded quantities of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug related objects. As a result, Purlay Johnson, Imonee McClouden, James Campbell, Shamari Harris, and Ryan Thomas were arrested and transported to the Bulloch County Jail.

More arrests are expected to be made in connection with these cases. No further information is being released at this time.
